TVOHC uses a team based approach that provides quality culturally sensitive medical care for our babies, toddlers and children from cradle to adulthood. 

Pediatric Postpartum Care 

We’re focused on the health of mother and baby with a preventative and convenient measure particularly during that critical first year after delivery. TVOHC offers an innovative new approach to healthcare with the 1st and only pediatric postpartum model of care that combines two essential visits into one appointment for mom and baby; moms will receive post-partum care and infants will have well-visits together at the same time, in the same location.

At these appointments, providers have access to a post-partum mother whose symptoms can last up to one year postpartum, contributing to the dismal rates of maternal mortality and morbidity that we see for Black women.

These first-year appointments are critical and life saving for baby and mother.  During the first year after giving birth the top two causes of maternal mortality are cardiomyopathy, a rare form of heart failure, and mental health related issues
